Hailing the birthplace of Calypso, Soca and the Steelpan, Neepz, emerges as an auspicious new singer, songwriter, DJ, and producer. Born in Delaford, Tobago, a modest seaside village on the smaller of the two islands that make up the Republic of Trinidad &Tobago, Neepz was raised in a culture that proudly celebrates its legacy of dance and music. He gives credit to the sounds and riddims of his native land, noting legendary Caribbean artists such as: Ras Shorty I, Mighty Sparrow, Lord Kitchener, The Wailers, Jimmy Cliff, and Sizzla, as well as, Hip Hop notables like the Wu Tang Clan, for shaping his own music. In his late teens, he and his brother, Nick Arthur, were recognized locally for producing popular Reggae and Soca mixes and turning up the parties, which led to the eventual formation of their own studio and style of music.

In 2012, Neepz had a chance encounter with an entertainment manager from Los Angeles that would change his life forever. The following year, he was signed to a recording and management contract with 1440 Entertainment, LLC and he set up shop in California, USA. Upon arrival to the states, Neepz was introduced to Hip Hop legend, Jam Master Jay’s mentee/nephew and NY rapper, Boe Skagz. The pair would go on to collaborate on a timeless Reggae/Hip Hop mixtape, followed by the one-of-a-kind Electronic Caribbean Hip Hop/Pop single, “Mi Treasure”, which won “Best Pop Video” at Chicago’s 2015 XMAs.

Neepz’s latest collaborations include the energetic feel-good Groovy Soca tune, “Road Callin’ We”, released with his brother, Nick Arthur, for T&T Carnival season, and a conscious message for the people from him and Najashi of the Dread Daze band, in the new Reggae release, “Surround Dem”. Reggae, his passion; Soca, his soul; Hip Hop, his generation; Electronic, di vibrations. Neepz aspires to create and share his heart and soul with the world through messages in his music.
