Justin DeJesus, also known as SwizZy B, is a Puerto Rican Hip Hop Recording Artist and Emcee Born in Brooklyn, New York. A creative, ambitious and passionate artist, the accolades and experiences came rolling in for him at an early age. By 18 he had already made an impact on the underground hip-hop scene in Orlando, Florida, by developing his own record label via LoUd Life Crew LLC, and signing the best talent in the city. Between 2012 and 2015, and prior to his move to Colorado, SwizZy B had released two mixtapes, and EP and sixty plus singles – all recorded in his own in-house studio. He went on to sellout his own headlining shows as well as perform and tour with artists such as Tech N9ne, DIPSET (Jim Jones, Cam’ron, Juelz Santana), Raekwon of Wu Tang Clan, Too Short, E-40, Beanie Siegel, Trae Tha Truth, Z-Ro, Young Dolph, Kirko Bangz, King Lil G, Snow Tha Product, Dizzy Wright, Shoreline Mafia, Starlito & Don Trip, Nappy Roots and many more.

The award winning SwizZy B, who has been featured in many publications and play-listed on multiple radio stations, has now trans-located to California and is working with producers and A&R’s, linked to Universal Records to move his career and label imprint to the next level. He has also dropped his 7 track EP, “OverWorked & Underpaid 2” to keep his momentum going.

SwizZy B delivers a unique and creative sound with this recording, to bring an introspective look into the daily battles needed to succeed. Here he throws the stylistic kitchen sink into the works to come out winning.

This is SwizZy B on his grind. His superb lyricism, along with the gritty yet calming tone of his voice, compliment his subject-matter well, regardless of the subject; on top of that, SwizZy B has a wicked flow. The EP is consistent, with versatile production that works well with SwizZy B’s voice and is sonically pleasing. SwizZy B holds down the bulk of the recording on his own, with just one song having features.

The entire record is listenable, I didn’t want to skip a track during my first listen; and there is something for everyone, for every mood. These are simply the standout tracks, in my opinion, which you should check out if you’re still on the edge because they just might catch your ear.

SwizZy B has a wide range of head-nodding songs to let loose, with deep personal meaning. This is not a rapper boasting about the accumulation of his worldly goods, but an artist elaborating on the wealth of his talent and the grind needed to transform that into any form of tangible gain.

If you’re looking to find a new, real rapper to listen to, SwizZy B is your guy. Not only is this dude a stunning lyricist, but he is musically well-rounded. “Skyfall” and “Work Ethic” are tracks that quickly give the measure of the man. Meanwhile “Issa Movie” is a formula taken right out of the classic playbook. Intensely brilliant.

On “OverWorked & Underpaid 2”, no two songs sound the same, yet they all have the same feel. A hard feat to say the least, and a feat that the major bulk of rappers struggle to accomplish. Especially on a narrative-styled recording.

SwizZy B rhymes viciously in a theoretical trance, induced by the beats on “Right Price” and “Letter To The Devil”. SwizZy B voices his disgust at the alternate reality that is brought on by deceitful behavior in “Lies (X1000)”. And then investigates the intricacies of faith and survival in “Promise.Faith”.

All in all – the lyricism, the production, the features – “OverWorked & Underpaid 2” is a refreshing hip-hop recording with originality and plenty of gems. SwizZy B has an incredibly promising career ahead.

Whatever type of rapper you considered SwizZy B to be before going into listening to this recording, you’ll undoubtedly come out of this experience knowing that he is a true artist. Don’t miss out on this EP, especially if you’re a fan of the genre.
